Roman Arriola, Lula Neira & Tito Perez
Machines 3 is an instrumental rock power trio based in Washington DC, composed by guitarist Roman Arriola, Bassist Lula Neira and drummer Tito Perez.
Roman Arriola originally from Chiclayo, Peru, begins to play guitar at the age of 11. Arriola continues his interest in the instrument in a self-taught way, until the age of 21, when he starts his musical studies as instrumentalist at the school of music Ernesto Lopez Mindreau. In the following years he continues playing music with different local bands, influenced by world class guitar masters such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Jimmy Hendrix and Carlos Santana. In 1997 Arriola, former guitarist for the rock band Maresantos, one of the most important rock bands in Peru, began composing and collaborating for the band’s first album Mal Signo.
In 2000 Arriola emigrates to the United States, a year later he starts working on solo project, giving birth to the first instrumental compositions such as Purple Sensation, Jupiter, Anger Machine, Journeys and Far Away. In 2009 Arriola and bassist Lula Neira form the band Machines 3, playing a number of shows in the Washington DC area with the participation of Nelson Alvarez on drums. Later in 2012 Neira starts collaborating with Arriola in the new compositions such as 80 Miles, Driven, Osiris and Acuarela. In 2016 Arriola and Neira start producing and recording their first album Machines 3 in their home studio in Lorton, Virginia, with Tito Perez on drums and Yave Rodriguez as recording engineer. Machines 3 was mixed and mastered by Oscar Martin Santiesteban in Lima, Peru and was finally released in all digital platforms on November 26, 2021.
